Andover Trees United welcomes back volunteers to Saturday workdays
Since December, because of Covid, workdays have been restricted to a very small group of volunteers. Last month the organisation began to get back to normal and opened up the Saturday workday to a few more volunteers, who helped with the final tree planting for the season.
Andover Trees United is delighted to announce that the April workday will be in the wood on Saturday 10th (afternoon only) and the organisation is inviting anyone who would like to get involved to get in touch via volunteers@andovertrees.org.uk.
Although numbers will still be limited, the team will work to accommodate as many as is deemed safe. All places must be booked in advance.
Wendy Davis, Andover Trees United manager, said, “We have worked hard to bring in Covid-secure measures and procedures to protect our volunteers and with all the activity taking place outdoors the risk of infection is very low.” Wendy continues, “people can work individually or in house-hold bubbles without the need to share tools. Unfortunately we can’t offer you a mug of tea at the moment so please remember to bring your own refreshments!”
