RYCOTEWOOD
August 2021
One student from Rycotewood, Daniel Alexander, has designed and made a beautifully elegant chair using the One Ash.
The furniture school still has timber available and are encouraging other students to use the timber in the Autumn term.
“I made this dining chair as the final project of my foundation degree. It was the most challenging piece I've made but I am so proud of the result. The beautiful English Ash was generously donated to @rycotewood_furniture by @andover_trees as part of the One Ash project and it was a real pleasure to create something from this beautiful timber! 🌿” - @danismaking on Instagram
October 2020
We have a good amount of ash here at Rycotewood and our students are now back with us (hopefully for the year). We are looking to use some of the timber in a seating project with year 2 students; this project starts in March 2021. We also have a few talented year 1 and 3 students who may be offered the opportunity to use some of the timber. With any luck we hope to have a small number of pieces crafted and ready in June 2021.
