Voices in Harmony Workshop - Lend your Voice!
Help to create a legacy for the Voices in Harmony Project.
Children, you might know one of the songs The Old Oak Tree . Jackie, our wonderful workshop leader, is songwriter Nick’s friend and plays fiddle on the recording. So, especially if you’ve planted a tree in Harmony Woods, bring parent/s, grandparent/s as there are songs for them too and we are forming a pop-up choir to sing in y/our wood on June 15th to celebrate midsummer. We need all your voices
This year the all-ages pop-up choir will be singing in Harmony Woods on the 15th June, and we need your voices to help make it happen. After Saturday’s workshop, acclaimed folk musician Jackie Oates will rehearse us in the wood early evening June 14th and will be preforming with us at the concert!
This is a community workshop open to all ages and abilities.

About Voices in Harmony
‘Voices in Harmony’ was planned jointly by both artists and Andover Trees United and lead children and adults on a musical journey in celebration of woodlands, including the Ash Trees from which Andover partly derives its name. Collected stories and memories together with reworkings of traditional songs were combined into a new composition and Tree Shanty which was performed alongside traditional folk song in Harmony Woods, accompanied by the made-audible responses of the surrounding trees.
