Liz Pearson

Liz Pearson is a designer and wood turner based in rural West Berkshire.  She is inspired by the woodland all around her. She finds the traditional process of creating everyday objects from locally sourced timber very rewarding and a little bit magical. Because of her passion for respecting our Environment she only works with sustainable natural materials. From these she creates toys, gifts and home wares that provide us with a tangible connection to the natural world.

Her work is characterised by its simple forms, celebration of natural materials and an emphasis on tactility.

Liz is very excited by the One Ash project. She is planning to use branch wood to turn snack bowls. Using it in its green state allows her to make very thin-walled, lightweight but strong bowls. The rest of the wood will be left to season so it can be made into spinning tops.
