Helen Perry

Helen Perry Designer Maker / Educator.

Based in Hampshire Helen predominantly works in clay, wood, metals, glass and printmaking from her studio in Farnborough.

In addition to making, Helen has worked at Sparsholt College (Andover Campus) for 17 years and is responsible for leading a fine team of lecturer’s as The Curriculum Leader for Art & Design, Creative Film Media and Computing.

The One Ash project appeals to me at this time as it is about making and education. I am developing some glaze studies that will see me explore Ash glazes on ceramics using the Ash tree and primarily terracotta and porcelain. I tend to look at things under the microscope and will be documenting my process in a handmade book.
