David Stephenson
David Stephenson is furniture designer-maker and teacher, specialising in designing and creating unique pieces of freestanding furniture along with smaller homeware products. He has been working from his workshop in the village of Weyhill on the outskirts of Andover since 2009.
David is delighted to be involved in this community project and has decided that with the timber from the One Ash project, he will be making a traditional Welsh stick chair and a green ash stool.
To record the traditional and contemporary woodworking techniques involved in the transformation from rough timber to finished product, David will be taking photographs of the processes and hopes to invite children from the Andover Trees linked schools to visit the workshop while he is working on the project.
