Nature in Harmony Project visit to Costa Rica - Traditional cooking workshop and gardening at the biohostel
Today the group had the chance to take part in a fantastic traditional cooking workshop run by local families at the Corcovado Biohostel.
Doña Nancy, Doña Maria and Doña Mercedes taught everyone to make fried plantains with pico de gallo, a stew of mincemeat and palm hearts and ‘arroz con leche’ - rice pudding!
The delicious meals were enjoyed by all!
Costa Rican cuisine is a great example of how locally grown ingredients can be used to create a range of colourful, mouth-watering dishes!
With everyone re-energised after the meal, there was some time left to help out in the biohostel garden and explore some more of the local area.
